The rain has increased in the coastal districts and a red alert has already been announced.
Due to torrential rain, a hill collapsed on a house of Nandavara in Bantwal taluk's Sajeepamunnur village, one of the two women trapped inside the house was rescued and the other woman died.
It happened in Nandavara of Sajeepamunnur village of Bantwal taluk of the district. Zarina (46) is the dead woman. A young woman was rescued by Bantwa fire officials, police and locals.
